UCPB GEN’s ELEVATION 51 SOCIAL MEDIA SELFIE CONTEST

Official Rules and Terms

      A. How it works

Individual submissions will be accepted through social media platforms. This promotion pertains to and is sponsored by UCPB General Insurance Co., Inc. (UCPB GEN).

       B.  Eligibility

All likers of the official Facebook Page of UCPB General Insurance Co., Inc., and

followers of the official Twitter and Instagram accounts: @ucpbgen are eligible to join.

       C. How to enter

1.      Take a creative selfie depicting elevation. Or else, you may take a selfie with a star element/item (may be a star cut-out, for example). The more creative, the better.

2.      Add a unique caption to this selfie photo in relation to UCPB GEN’s Elevation 51.

After the caption, add the following hashtags:

#ChooseUCPBGEN #E51Selfie #Elevation51

3.      Post it to our online social media accounts:

ü  Facebook Page: UCPB General Insurance Co., Inc.

ü  Twitter and/or Instagram: @ucpbgen

4.      Share in any or all of your social media networks:

ü  Facebook (in our Facebook Page and must be visible in your Timeline)

ü  Twitter

ü  Instagram

5.      Multiple entries are permitted, but each entry must be posted separately.

6.      Submission of entries starts June 25, 2014 and ends on July 9, 2014.

Late entries will not be accepted. 

All materials submitted to UCPB GEN’s Elevation 51 Selfie Contest shall become the sole property of UCPB GEN. Your submission to this contest means that you agree with these rules and that UCPB GEN shall do what it wants with the images you submit, in its sole discretion, at any time from now until forever. By entering into this contest, you agree to wholly and freely grant any and all rights to the image you submit and any and all intellectual property therein to UCPB GEN. UCPB GEN is not responsible for incomplete or varying information reported by an individual among multiple entries. Verification of submissions and final selection of winners is at the sole discretion of UCPB GEN. All judges decisions and general decisions are final; however, UCPB GEN reserves the right to make any changes whatsoever with respect to this contest at any time whatsoever, at its sole discretion. Photos and/or content that is considered hateful, rude, inappropriate, offensive, slanderous or disgusting by UCPB GEN only, in its sole discretion will not be accepted. UCPB GEN may and will disqualify any participant from the contest at its sole discretion.

       D. Photo Quality

Photos must be in a JPEG format – should be clear not blurry and must not contain any watermark. A 1:1 aspect ratio is considered ideal.

       E. Judging

Criteria for Judging:

           

            30%     -      Creativity

            10%     -      Photo Quality

            20%     -      Unique Caption

            20%     -      Adherence to the theme (Elevation/Star Component)

            20%     -      Popularity (No. of Likes)

Regardless of any online judging done by the general public, ALL final decisions are in UCPB GEN’s sole discretion.

       F. Winners and Prizes

Winners will be selected on July 9, 2014 by 11:59 pm. The winners will be notified thru direct message in the social media platforms within twenty-four (24) hours of the close of the final judging period and will be required to give his personal information; otherwise, prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected based on the next-highest score.

The name and photo of the winning submission will be announced on July 11, 2014 on the UCPB GEN Elevation 51 Grand Launch at the U. P. Bahay ng Alumni in Diliman, Quezon City. The winner will receive a special plaque, personal accident insurance coverage for a year, souvenir items and a CASH prize.

By entering UCPB GEN’s Elevation 51 Selfie Contest, participants agree to be bound by the Official Rules, and any and all terms and conditions as set forth by the company. In addition, participants agree to adhere by the following:

Participants agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless UCPB GEN, its officers, directors, agents, subsidiaries and affiliates wherever situated against any and all claims, losses, penalties, causes of action, damages, liability, costs, expenses (including but not limited to reasonable attorneys' fees) or claims caused by or resulting indirectly from your participation in the contest, without limitation or exception, including your violation of any third-party's rights, (including, without limitation, infringement of any copyright trademark, service mark, trade secrets, right of privacy or publicity or any other third party right).

Entry into UCPB GEN’s Elevation 51 Selfie Contest constitutes complete permission to UCPB GEN, to use, edit or modify all submissions (including names, pictures, and likenesses) for any and all of UCPB GEN's purposes in its sole discretion. Such purpose may include but shall never be limited to advertising and trade (including but not limited to display on the UCPB GEN web site or in UCPB GEN branches) in any manner or medium whatsoever or not at all, throughout the world in perpetuity, without further compensation, notification or approval, unless prohibited by law. If there are discrepancies between any disclosures or other materials made or provided by UCPB GEN and others and these Rules, then any rules chosen at UCPB GEN’s sole discretion shall prevail and control. UCPB GEN is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the promotion or in the announcement of winners.

ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS PROMOTION IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, UCPB GEN MAY DISQUALIFY THE PARTICIPANT AND RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL OR GROUP TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. AMERICAN APPAREL WILL REPORT ANY ABUSE OR FRAUD TO THE AUTHORITIES AND WILL PROSECUTE TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW.

UCPB GEN will not return any submitted images to the contestant. UCPB GEN is not responsible for lost, late, faulty, incorrect or damaged transmissions, incorrect announcements of any kind (whether human or electronic), technical hardware or software malfunctions or failures of any kind, including any injury or damage to any person's computer related to or resulting from participating in or receiving, viewing or using any materials in connection with the promotion, lost or unavailable network connections, inability to access the website or any failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission that may limit a user's ability to participate in the promotion. UCPB GEN reserves the right to cancel or modify the promotion if fraud, misconduct or technical failures destroy the integrity of the program; or if a computer virus, bug, or other technical problem corrupts the administration, security, or proper administration of the program as determined by UCPB GEN, in its sole discretion. In the event of termination, a notice will be posted online and the winner determined from submissions received prior to termination. Any use of robotic, automatic, programmed or the like methods of participation will void all such submissions by such methods. UCPB GEN reserve the right to prohibit the participation of an individual or group if fraud or tampering is suspected or if the participant fails to comply with any requirement of participation as stated herein or with any provision in these Official Rules.
